Project Manager
Shortlist · Software delivery · 3–5 years · Full-time, remote in Egypt
We're building a shortlist of Project Managers, full-time and remote in Egypt, for upcoming client projects and our own products. Apply once. When a project fits your experience, we invite you to talk, and if it's a match you join Nilerobot to run its delivery: clear scope, plans and risks, clients kept informed, and engineers who build with AI coding tools shipping what was agreed.
A shortlist, not a single opening: we contact you when something fits, which can take a while. We keep your application for 12 months.
What you'll do
- Run delivery for client projects and our own products, from the agreed scope to the release.
- Turn goals into plans: a backlog, milestones, estimates made with the engineers, and a risk list you keep current.
- Be the client's main contact: weekly updates, demos, decisions in writing, and change requests agreed before work starts.
- Run planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives with engineers who build with AI coding tools, tests and review on every change.
What we look for
- 3 to 5 years running software projects, in a software house, an agency or a product team.
- You have taken projects from scope to release with real clients, and kept scope, dates and budget in check.
- Scrum and Kanban in practice, and a tracker such as Jira, Linear or ClickUp that the whole team trusts.
- Enough technical depth to read a ticket, a pull request or an API spec, and to question an estimate.
- You spot risks early and share bad news plainly, with the team and with the client.
- You write clearly: acceptance criteria, status updates and decision notes people can act on.
- You use AI tools in your own work, and plan for what changes when engineers build with them: more code to review and test.
- Clear English, written and spoken, and at ease working remotely with clients and teams abroad.
Nice to have
- Earlier work as an engineer, a tester or a business analyst.
- A certification such as PMP, PSM or CSM.
- Budgets and contracts: fixed price and time and materials.
- Product discovery: user interviews, prototypes and writing the first scope.
- Release basics: environments, CI/CD and following up after an incident.
- A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
